It was the end of an era in Donegal today as much loved local TD, Charlie McAnalogue, finally made the big switch to Charlie McDigital at a switchover ceremony in Carndonagh this afternoon.

The move comes as part of Fianna Fáil’s radical campaign to haul itself into the 21st century and appeal to younger voters. The Opposition Spokesperson for Agriculture, Food, and the Marine will now broadcast his views and opinions in high definition via the digital format (though older voters will still be able to pick up the party’s analogue views if they tune in via a priest, bishop, or unelected member of a religious pressure group).

Elsewhere, Opposition Spokesperson for Finance, Michael McGrath, was presented with a brand new abacus and a high-tech GPS system alerting him to the location of any economic cliffs, lest his party get back into power and feel the urge to drive us off of one, again.
