A woman from Lifford has been told that “she has a lovely dressh” on her.

Known locally as ‘Mhargit’, the woman was told she had a wile nice frock at a wedding she attended last weekend.

Mhargit was walking out to the front of the hotel for a fag when she was set upon by a distant relative, who said to her “ah hello Mhargit, jees haven’t ye the luhvely dressh on ye”.

The dress, a royal blue empire-line gown, was purchased in a shop in Letterkenny for an undisclosed price.

At the same wedding, the distant relative told Mhargit that while her dress was “wile nice altogether”, Mhargit’s cousin, Mhadge, “looked like something you’d find hiding behind a whinbush”
