Football is in shock this evening at the discovery of an honest worker at the offices of its governing body, FIFA.

According to sources, the discovery was made in Zurich during the late afternoon, when Julie Goodleg, a thirty-six year-old admin worker in FIFA’s travel department, found a wallet while walking through the canteen and managed to return it to its owner who sat at a nearby desk.

Goodleg is now the subject of an intense internal investigation to see which of FIFA’s policies and procedures allowed this sort of normal honest corruption-free behaviour come to the fore.

A spokesperson for the company told us that “all matters of honest behaviour like this need to be examined very closely so they don’t give the world the wrong impression about the governance of football.”

It is also alleged that Goodleg is facing disciplinary procedures, for failing to meet the standards adhered to by the executive management of the association.
