Skippy holds court with youth…

After earlier reports of a Kangaroo spotted outside the Sinn Féin’s Head Office, a source has told the Dollop that Skippy himself will run for the party at the next election.

The lanky marsupial, best known for spotting when people are in trouble and alerting the nearest police officer, is joining the party and is expected to win a nomination in one of the Dublin constituencies.

“Our party loves all marsupials equally, including Kangaroos,” explained party Vice-President, Mary Lou McDonald, stating that the party hopes to run a bush Kangaroo in every constituency both North and South of the border.

“These animals are great for sit-ins, holding court with the young and the vulnerable and carrying the hopes and dreams of all the normal hard working people in our society,” she continued, before phoning party leader Gerry Adams to ask him if he was aware of who Skippy was or whether he’d be forgetting him between today’s radio appearances.
