Reunion tours are all the rage these days,  Spice Girls, Atomic Kitten, Bewitched and even the Irish Eurovision  winners have dusted off their glad rags and graced the stage once again. The band reunion trend, however, kicked off here in Donegal when some aul wans went up to their attacks to fetch their rusty tin-whistles back in 2010 to reform their school band. Since then, the Meenderry (where?) Reunion Band have not stopped gigging. This St Patrick’s day the band have embarked on their biggest tour to date, bringing them to all the corners of the earth and beyond. Our photography intern was lucky enough to travel with the band and bring you these wonderful pictures that he took with an aul camera we got for him at a jumble sale.

First up was the Whitehouse to make a wile racket when Enda was trying to chat to Obama:

It could do with a whitewash
It could do with a whitewash

Then on to America’s most famous town – Springfield:

Where is that Homer wastard?
Where is that Homer wastard?

The band brought the house down at a special Riverdance performance in Argentina for The Pope:

Dance faster ya welts!
Dance faster ya welts!

A blast of Paddy McGinty’s Goat went down a treat with them aul Pyramids:

They've come so Pharaoh so quickly
They’ve come so Pharaoh so quickly

There was time for ‘one more tune’ on the moon before coming back down to earth:

I can see my school from here
I can see my school from here

What’s next for the Meenderry Band is anybody’s guess but if the romours are true we might see them on stage with the only band whose members are older – The Rolling Stones. Don’t watch this space.
