Two Donegal farmers were stuck with the age old question today, “is the grass greener on the other side?”
The two farmers, who are both located in the east of Donegal and refused to be named, have farms next to each other which also border the north of Ireland.
When approached with the question yesterday by a passer-by, both farmers gave the same answer: “Get off our farms!” But upon further consideration they could not agree whether it was greener or just as green. One farmer was quoted as saying “I’ve lived here for 38 years and now I don’t know what to think anymore”.
We can confirm that samples from both fields and the two adjoining fields in Northern Ireland have been sent to a laboratory in Letterkenny. When contacted earlier about the samples they said they could neither confirm nor deny that any samples had been taken.
